
A Belgian-Flemish legal and environmental anthropologist with a PhD in Law. For nearly twenty years, Lieselotte has worked closely with Indigenous peoples in Latin America and Nepal, across various contexts: from communities that survived genocide to national organizations and networks of Indigenous lawyers. Her academic and applied research focuses on legal pluralism, Indigenous peoples’ rights, transitional justice, the decolonization of human rights, and resource extraction. Additionally, she has worked as a human rights practitioner, including with the UN Human Rights Office in Ecuador (2010-2013).

A Catalan director, screenwriter, and producer with 20 years of experience in audiovisual across Europe, Latin America, and Australia. Her feature documentary, Singled [Out], premiered at Seminci in 2017 and toured festivals worldwide. In 2020 she founded Suricata Stories, where she is producing her second feature documentary, Another Father. She is a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinema, Docma and Dones Visuals. In recent years she has combined her work as a narrative advisor and director at the University of Melbourne with the direction of content for different organizations (such as Oxfam Australia, Pasqual Maragall Foundation, Swinburne University) and the development and direction of documentary films for cinema.

A Newari visual storyteller based in Kathmandu. His works explore the politics of being a Nepali by scratching its past and the resultant present. He is currently associated with Fuzz Factory Productions, a multimedia collective based in Kathmandu, photo.circle, a platform for photography and Photo Kathmandu. In 2016, Prasiit was the recipient of the Magnum Emergency Fund Grant and was selected for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. Since then he has received numerous accolades, including the Magnum Counter Histories 2022 Grant, and the 2024 Asia Arts Future (South Asia) Award.

A visual storyteller based in Kathmandu. Her pursuits center on employing multimedia techniques to depict human experiences from a distinct vantage point shaped by her experiences. In 2019, she earned the esteemed Film South Asia Fellowship, followed by the British Council’s “Gender Grant” in 2020. Barkha has assumed roles as a writer, director, DOP, digital artist, and editor across numerous documentaries, ad films, and music videos for the past decade. Her inaugural short film was screened at Pinewood Studios in the UK, Raleigh Studios in Hollywood (part of the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions), and the Museum of Creative Minds (Shanghai Shorts – Shanghai, China).

Hails from Nepal’s Indigenous Gurung community and holds a degree in journalism & mass communication. Ramsubba dedicates her career to the development sector, focusing on women, children, & marginalized communities affected by disasters (earthquakes, landslides, & floods). She mostly works in close coordination with local government authorities. Fluent in Gurung, Nepali, & English. Her understanding of the community’s unique local customs, traditions, and social dynamics ensures that the information shared align with local values, practices and are also culturally appropriate and respectful.

A Kathmandu based inter-disciplinary artist working primarily with sound. Bassist/co-producer for a Kathmandu/France based progressive rock outfit, Atomic Bush, Shrestha is currently pursuing his Masters in Ethnomusicology from Kathmandu University’s Department of Music and produces music under the moniker of ‘phatcowlee’. One of the founding members of Fuzzscape, a platform for cultural documentation with primary focus on music, archival and storytelling through audio-visual medium, Shrestha is currently associated with a digital audio archive named Nepal Music Archive.

Journalist, documentary filmmaker, and writer, specialized in human rights, social justice, and memory processes, with a focus on the systemic violence against Indigenous peoples. She directed Esterilizaciones Forzadas: un camino a la justicia (IWGIA, 2018), about 272,028 Indigenous women sterilized without consent in Peru during the 1990s, which won the FicWallmapu Award at the Chilean International Indigenous Film Festival. She coordinated the production of 18 short films on Joan Manuel Serrat’s songs based on Miguel Hernández’s work (awarded the Best Audiovisual Production at the Music Awards). Author of Haz. Otra mirada a la vida desde el escenario (2024). Her work combines aesthetic sensitivity with rigorous journalism, highlighting silenced issues with a critical, poetic gaze.

Ikᵾ /Wintukwa/Arhuaca lawyer and since 2018, Belkis has been a Judge of the Chamber for Acknowledgement of Truth of Responsibility and the Determination of Facts and Conducts of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (Colombia). She was the Vice President of this same Tribunal (2022-2024) and has also served as the coordinator of the Ethnic-Racial Commission (2020-2022) of the JEP. Previously, Belkis was an auxiliary magistrate of the Colombian Superior Council of the Judiciary, responsible for coordination between the National Judicial System and Indigenous Special Jurisdiction.

The principal CEO of Choclo Audiovisuals and currently advisor on audiovisual heritage at the Directorate of Audiovisuals, Cinema, and Interactive Media of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge in Colombia. She has worked as a producer and communicator with Indigenous and community organizations such as Daupará – Indigenous Film and Video Showcase, the Permanent Dialogue Table with Indigenous Peoples and Organizations (MPC), the National Communication Commission of Indigenous Peoples (CONCIP), and the Bogotá International Documentary Showcase (MIDBO). She advises on the implementation of Public Communication Policy for and by Indigenous Peoples and the Indigenous Television Plan.

Indigenous Gunadule woman from the community of Caimán Nuevo in Urabá Antioquia. Since 2015, Olowaili has been serving as an audiovisual artist and cultural facilitator at SentARTE, art with purpose, an enterprise with which she has been working through co-creation to promote the visibility, social integration, and safeguarding of her culture and other diverse cultures, achieving significant recognition and success at both national and international levels. Simultaneously, she works on projects within her production company, SentARTE, art with purpose, and is also part of the production and communications team for Daupará, a showcase of indigenous cinema and video in Colombia.

Nirvana’s work has focused on communicative and cultural consultancy within the Movimiento Indígena Colombiano, currently within the Instancia de Decisión de los Pueblos y Comunidades Indígenas – IDPCI del Sistema General de Regalías y la Confederación Indígena Tayrona – CIT. She is a founding partner of the transmedia content production company with a focus on Latin American musical practices, Diario Sonoro Latinoamericano.

A Guatemalan sociologist with a Master’s degree in social science from the École de Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris. He has worked for more than 10 years on qualitative research and multimedia projects in academia, international cooperation projects and as an investigative journalist.
